Donalda School built 1913

School classes were held in Donalda as early as 1911, when Ernest "Dad" Winter began teaching in a house which had been rented by the community for use as a school. The town's first purpose-built school was the one in this picture. Erected in 1913, it was in use for nearly 25 years before being destroyed by fire in about 1938.
